Phronesis
Also called Practical wisdom.
Practical wisdom. The capacity to deliberate well about what is good in a particular situation and to act on the deliberation, distinguished in Aristotle’s taxonomy from technical skill and from theoretical knowledge. It works through the minor premise, the perception that this situation falls under that rule, and it is inseparable from character, which is why it cannot be supplied by constraint from outside.
